Working dogs are an important part of any dog training business! These dogs come to classes to demonstrate skills and help out reactive dogs during private sessions.
Fidget
DOB: April 29th 2017

Fidget is a hard working dog who lives to play frisbee! This boy has dabbled across many dog sports - agility, dock diving and flyball to name a few, but frisbee has his heart. Fidget is a tough competitor, placing six times at Canadian UpDog National Events. He has also appeared in two movies - Hallmark's Magic of Lemon Drops and Magnolia Picture's Normal which is set to hit the big screen in 2026. Fidget is a fantastic travel partner and has been all across North America performing and competing. People love his big air jumps off the dock and flashy frisbee tricks the most! While dog owner's aren't supposed to have favourites, it's clear that Fidget is Emily's soulmate. Fidget's favourite part of working for Hopeful Dog Training is being a distraction dog during reactivity training. He is perfectly happy to sit on his bed while his mom works with different dogs and their humans!

Wilson

Meet Wilson - the naughtiest and happiest dog you'll ever meet. Wilson is a rescue from Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue (BTPRSM) and came home at 8 weeks old. From a young age, it was clear that Wilson was put on this earth to get into mischief! Wilson has had the opportunity to play the hero dog in two Hallmark films, Merry and Bright and Christmas by Starlight. His favourite thing in the world is participating in stunt dog shows with his epic jumps and getting to meet all of his fans after shows. Wilson plays frisbee and flyball recreationally, but loves trick training the most.
Wilson is the best dog to have around when we work with nervous dogs. He is excellent at reading body language and remaining neutral for dog's to have the opportunity to greet their first dog.

Shuffle
DOB: August 4th 2020

Shuffle is a highly driven working boy with the best off-switch for cuddling. Shuffle's connection to Emily makes him an incredible dog sport partner. He competes in agility and frisbee, claiming multiple wins and titles. Shuffle placed second at the 2023 Canadian UpDog Nationals in frisbee freestyle. He loves to go for hikes and show off during stunt dog shows. He is a versatile performer in shows - participating in agility relays, high jump, frisbee freestyle and dock diving.
Shuffle loves to come to group classes as a demo dog the most! You will find him relaxing on his bed while Emily teaches and eagerly awaiting to show off the next skill.
