Train & Walks
Train & Walks are only available to clients that have done a private session and are actively involved in training with me. Not all dogs will benefit from Train & Walks and therefore they are not guaranteed to each dog that does a private session. Many dogs need more work with their owners rather than working one-on-one with me!
The Train & Walk Program allows me to work with your dog one-on-one. I focus on your specific training goals and therefore each walk I have with a dog is tailored for their needs. Some common things that I work on during these sessions include:

-
Confidence Building & Exposure To New Environments: During a dog's allotted walk time I will bring them to a new place (ex. park, shopping complex, pet friendly store) to work on confidence and generalizing behaviours to new environments.
-
Leash Reactivity: I work quite frequently with dogs who are reactive towards dogs, people, cars etc.
-
Leash Manners: I focus primarily on teaching loose leash walking and teaching dogs to check-in with their handlers.
-
Basic Manners: I can address issues like jumping up and self-rewarding behaviours like stealing things off the ground during walks.

Owners receive detailed videos after each walk that show what their dog worked on and how to replicate that themselves. It is strongly recommended to book a training session if you are interested in the Train & Walk program. Your dog will progress much quicker if you are following the same rules at home!

FAQS
Q: Can I Come With You On My Dog's Walk?
A: No, your dog's walk time is one-on-one with just me and your dog. If you want to learn the methods I am using please connect with me to book a training session!

Q: Do I Need To Pack Treats?
A: You are more than welcome to provide treats for your dog, but I always have plenty. I do recommend packing treats if your dog has a sensitive stomach! You can also save your dog's meal for their walk time and I am happy to use that throughout their training time.

Q: What Type Of Gear Does My Dog Need?
A: I will always opt to use my own leash when working with your dog. The type of gear you use is definitely specific to each dog, but as a general rule I recommend a properly fitted harness or collar. Please note that I always have a "back up" connector on dogs in case something is to break. I will use a slip collar or a safety strap based on your dog's gear. I do not use choke chains, prong collars or e-collars.
